WordPress plugin for excluding gallery pictures for adding to post.

If you want to add a gallery to your WordPress post and exclude pictures from the gallery to post in other places in your blog post. I have made a plugin for WordPress that will allow you to just this.

The problem is this, if you have a post and would like post a gallery and a picture in the same post that you don’t want to show in the gallery, you have an issue.  This option currently not available in WordPress.

Example of the current WordPress gallery issue:

I don’t have the plugin working on my website. But if you want to insert a photo (outside the gallery) in the post it will also show in the gallery as you can see above. This is a problem.

Example Pic:

*As you can see above posted in the gallery is this image

    Great plug in! I am using another plug in to resize the thumbnails of the gallery images down and when I add yours it makes them all large again. Any help with a fix?

    Hi. First of all, Thank you so much for making this very needed “remove from gallery” plug in.

    I was wondering if there is a fix for the light box, as it currently removes the ability to have one. I am no coder btw, just fumbling through a template set up. Can you please help me with this?

    Thanks very much!

    What a wonderful plugin I stumbled upon while I was goggling a way to remove an image from an existing gallery.

    However, I’m having issue(s) w/ this plugin as it apparently cause the following:

    When I try to remove image from gallery, the image still remains there, also further more, I am no longer able to delete any other images permanently (the ones that I do want to delete) as I get a permission error asking if my session timed out.

    I can’t help but to wonder if this is due to the fact that the images that are in the gallery are in a portfolio theme (adapt by wp-explorer) but the portfolio items are registered as custom post types, would this have an impact on the way your plugin works?

    I’m currently running 3.3.2

    I use this code but not change <a href=PERMALINK to SRC IMAGE…:

    /*HACK HACK LIGHTBOX*/
    $lightbox_add='<a rel="lightbox['.$id.']" ';
    $link_lightbox=str_replace('<a',$lightbox_add,$link);

    $output .= "”;
    $output .= ”

    $link_lightbox
    “;

    I FIX-IT!:

    CHANGE:
    function gallery_filter($attr) {
    TO:
    function gallery_filter($output, $attr) {

    AND CHANGE THIS BLOCK:

    $link = isset($attr[‘link’]) && ‘file’ == $attr[‘link’] ? wp_get_attachment_link($id, $size, false, false) : wp_get_attachment_link($id, $size, true, false);
    /*HACK HACK LIGHTBOX*/
    $lightbox_add='<a rel="lightbox['.$id.']" ';
    $link_lightbox=str_replace('<a',$lightbox_add,$link);
    $output .= "”;
    $output .= ”

    $link_lightbox
    “;

    HAVE FUN!

    Hello friends of the north, all right out there?

    I detected another problem: You can “set highlighted image” just before you enter the gallery. For if we try to highlight the image after insertion of the gallery, the link would “Configure highlighted image” becomes “Delete this image from gallery”…

    And you can not over emphasize the image, thus having to redo the whole post, and highlight it before you enter the gallery.

    I tried this but could not solve. Maybe make the link Delete image gallery elsewhere in the layout?

    See if you can do something about it.

    Hugs!

    Hello

    Not sure, but Scott will be able to better inform: About the errors caused reported here, most seem to use server php <5 and custom wordpress themes in the galleries, when in fact, you should use php 5 + and see that the script was created for the gallery's basic wordpress only.

    Occur.
