The upside to being on Chex Systems

If you are looking for an upside for being on chex Systems, my bank just tried to charge me a flat $9.95 a month for a checking account. Like I am going to pay $120.00 dollars a year for a checking account, you got to be kidding me! It is not a good time to be a banking customer. Not being able to get a banking account might be a good thing.

The twist and turns of life.

I was driving down the road and of course I seen on the side of the road a homeless lady holding a sign, you all know I can’t help myself… The sign said, “homeless hurts.”  Wow touching… really, that is the best you can come-up with? Here let me try… Paying my Credit Card bill hurts. Doesn’t really have the same ring, I’ll give you that. But some months I think I would rather go homeless over what I got to deal with. If I was going to make a sign I would go right for the throat, something snappy, like… “Sucking dick is to demoralizing so I went for the sign instead.”  Put a smile on their face, you won’t change their life, but you might change their day.

magicJack – my review

I owe magicJack a true product review…

This year I got lucky, I stumbled on to a Press Pass for the Consumer Electric Show (CES) in Las Vegas this last year. As I was walking through view all the amazing products being shown, I just so happen to stumble upon magicJack’s set- up in a booth. So being curious about this product I stopped in. Being a ex-customer of Vonage I have looked at getting a magicJack and I have to be honest. I have seen the landslide of bad reviews on magicJack and  this is really what has stopped me from shelling out the 40 bones. While reading some of the negative reviews, I thought to myself… “Yah, but it looks like a real good deal.”  The reason for giving this review is, I was given a free magicJack at CES and I told them I would give them a review on how well I thought their product worked and share their product with people I know and meet. Now, if you read my blog , you know I am very hard on products and a very opinionated person.

I plugged in my magicJack and with-in 3 minuets I was making phone calls, it worked fine. I have used my magicJack for 7 months with zero issues. I rate magicJack 5 stars. If you are paying more than two bucks a months for any type of home-phone service, you are a damn fool.

Also, after you get your magicJack, you can get 5 years of service for under $60 bucks. “It is the best deal going!” The bad reviews online don’t seem to add up from what I can tell. To be honest, if it broke, I would buy a new one without hesitation.

I think if you are looking to establish or maintain a US presents you can use magicJack to receive and make phone calls like you are sitting in the US. This would be a powerful tool for freelancers out of the US, to spoof a US presence.

Fun fact that I picked up: magicJack is a real phone company, Vonage and home-phone services are from your cable providers and other VoIP services are not. I found this very interesting.
