Below I have given a full list of states gambling is legal in and the type of gambling offered followed by the steps to self exclude. I think also you can also call your credit card and Bank to block gambling transactions.

You can also consider seeking support from gambling addiction help groups or counselors as part of your recovery process but from our research this is only 5% effective.

To self-exclude from casinos in Arkansas, you can follow these steps based on current available information:

Self-Exclusion Program Availability:
Arkansas does not have a statutorily mandated self-exclusion program at the state level. However, individual casinos might have their own self-exclusion policies.

Southland Casino in West Memphis:
This casino offers a self-exclusion option where individuals can exclude themselves for two years at a time. This is entirely voluntary, and you would need to visit the casino to arrange this.

Procedure for Self-Exclusion at Casinos:

  • Visit the casino in person where you wish to self-exclude.
  • Ask to speak with someone from the security or customer service team about self-exclusion.
  • You will likely need to fill out a form agreeing to exclude yourself. This form might require personal identification to confirm your identity.

Alternative Methods:
If physical casinos do not offer self-exclusion, consider using online tools or apps designed to block gambling sites. For instance, the app Gamban can be used to prevent access to online gambling platforms, which could be beneficial if you’re looking to control online gambling habits.

Reach out to organizations like the Arkansas Council on Problem Gambling or national resources for support in managing gambling habits. They might provide guidance or additional resources for self-exclusion or seeking help for gambling addiction.

Responsible Gambling Support:
Look for responsible gambling messages or helplines displayed at casinos, as they might guide you towards resources or programs aimed at helping with gambling issues.

Alaska: Tribal casinos only.

Self-excluding from casinos in Alaska is a bit unique due to the state’s gambling laws. Here’s how you can proceed:

Tribal Casinos:
Alaska does not have a state-wide self-exclusion program for its tribal casinos, as most forms of gambling are illegal, except for the 10 tribal casinos. Each tribal casino may have its own self-exclusion policy, but there isn’t a centralized or state-mandated program. You would need to contact each tribal casino individually to inquire about their specific self-exclusion process.

State Regulations:
There is no state-level self-exclusion list in Alaska. Information from resources related to problem gambling in Alaska, like those provided by the Alaska Department of Health, does not mention a self-exclusion program for gambling. Instead, they focus on providing resources for gambling addiction help.
Alternative Approaches:

Seek Counseling:
Since there’s no formal self-exclusion, consider seeking help from programs or counselors specializing in gambling addiction. They can provide support and strategies to manage gambling behavior.
Personal Commitment: You might commit personally to not entering gambling premises, setting up personal barriers like notifying friends or family about your decision or avoiding areas where casinos are located.

National Resources:
For broader support, you can look into national resources like the National Council on Problem Gambling, which can offer guidance or connect you with local support even if state-level options are limited.

Given the absence of a formal self-exclusion program in Alaska, your best approach is to directly contact each tribal casino for their policies or to seek personal or community support to manage gambling behavior. Remember, even without state-wide programs, self-exclusion starts with a personal commitment to change one’s behavior.

If you need assistance or more information on managing gambling issues, consider contacting:
Alaska Department of Health for resources on problem gambling.
National helplines for gambling addiction support.

Alabama: Limited forms like bingo, tribal gaming, and charity gaming.

In Alabama, self-exclusion from casinos is more complicated due to the state’s gambling laws and the nature of its gambling establishments.

Here’s how you can proceed:
Since Alabama does not have state-run or commercial casinos but does have tribal casinos operated by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, you would need to contact each tribal casino directly for their self-exclusion policies:

Tribal Casinos:

  • Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Atmore
  • Wind Creek Wetumpka
  • Wind Creek Montgomery

Each tribal casino has its own gaming commission, and therefore, their self-exclusion programs might differ.

Here’s what you can do:
Contact Each Casino:
Call or visit the customer service or security departments at these casinos to inquire about their self-exclusion processes. They might have specific forms or procedures for self-exclusion.
Self-Exclusion Process:
Typically, you would need to:
Provide personal information.
Sign a form agreeing to be excluded.
Possibly have your photo taken for identification purposes.

Terms and Duration:
Ask about the duration of the exclusion (e.g., one year, five years, or lifetime) and if there’s any possibility to reverse the decision after a certain period.

Electronic Bingo Halls:
Alabama also has “electronic bingo” parlors, whose legality varies by county. However, these are not typically subject to a formal state-wide self-exclusion program.

You might still reach out to these establishments directly:
Ask for Self-Exclusion: Similar to tribal casinos, you would need to inquire about any self-exclusion options they might offer. This would be on a case-by-case basis since these are not regulated by a state-wide gaming commission.

Online Gambling:
For online gambling, since Alabama doesn’t have state-regulated online casinos, you’d need to look into third-party solutions:

Use Software or Services:
You can use software like Gamban or BetBlocker to block access to gambling sites on your devices. These services offer self-exclusion from online gambling platforms.

General Tips:
Documentation: Keep copies of any forms or agreements you sign for your records.
Legal Consequences: Understand that if you are on a self-exclusion list and caught gambling, you could face legal repercussions such as being charged with trespassing.

Arizona: Tribal casinos, state lottery, event wagering, and fantasy sports.

To self-exclude from casinos in Arizona, you can follow these steps:

You can download the self-exclusion forms from the Arizona Department of Gaming’s Problem Gambling section. There are specific forms for casino exclusion and for event wagering & fantasy sports contests.

Obtain the Arizona Self-Exclusion Form: https://problemgambling.az.gov/self-exclusion

Choose the Type of Self-Exclusion: Casino Self-Exclusion:
This excludes you from gambling at all Arizona casinos. Event Wagering & Fantasy Sports (EWFS) Self-Exclusion: This prevents you from placing wagers or buying fantasy sports contest entries at any licensed facility or on an internet/mobile platform. Note that these are separate, so you must choose both if you want to be excluded from both activities.

Complete the Form:
Fill out the form completely. Remember, you’ll need to provide a current photo of yourself along with the form.

Notarization:
The form must be notarized. You can either:
Have it notarized in person, or Use the remote notary option offered by the Arizona Department of Gaming.

To do this:
Submit the unsigned form and your photo to the provided email address. A staff member will contact you to schedule a remote notary session within 1-3 business days.

Submit the Form:
Mail or deliver the notarized form to the Arizona Department of Gaming. The address should be on the form or available on their website.

Understand the Implications:
Once you are on the self-exclusion list, you are prohibited from collecting any winnings or recovering losses in Arizona casinos. If you enter a casino while excluded, you could be considered trespassing, leading to potential legal consequences.

Additional Considerations:
The state-wide self-exclusion includes all Class III Indian Gaming Facilities in Arizona, including access to any services like restaurants or hotels on casino properties. If you exclude from a Harrah’s/Caesars property, you’ll be excluded from all their properties worldwide.

ATM Restrictions:
If you’re concerned about accessing money in casinos, programs like Everi STeP can help exclude you from using ATMs at over 1000 gambling locations, including some Arizona casinos.
