Scott shares free business ideas that you can use

The benifits of selling your website on Flippa vs. eBay.

Recently – Selling websites on the web has become very problematic. “Just-how-much” is a website worth these days? I personally build websites and then turn-around and sell them to people that want to be in business on the web. This is a very tricky market, to sell your website you need to reach real buyers. I have sold websites on eBay, but I have only listed websites for sale on Flippa, never actually sold any. I will share my experience and what I think are the pros-and-cons of selling websites on eBay versus Flippa and give you some valuable tips for saving money and getting even more money for your website!

I was reading is article I found – I think it was the USA Today, it said any website or domain name in 5 years could be worth 500x times what it’s worth right now.

The number one problem you face when looking to get a good price for your website, is the mound of horse-shit scam websites that promise large returns for no investment. This is what buyers that are looking to buy websites have to wade though when looking to buy. Stupid and ridiculous domains priced for 1 million, affiliate websites scams, all kind of scams.

The other problem – It is difficult to sell a website to just anyone, most people are a little intimated or simply have no idea what they are even looking at. I don’t think either eBay or Flippa really offer the “optimal selling experience” for selling websites. Ideally  you want to list your website where you will attract the most potential buyers. Buyer beware!

Flippa – They boast making something like 10 million in sales, to be honest I found this very hard to believe. I didn’t feel like that many of the listings on Flippa ended in a actual sale of the website. All I seen was a bunch of junk websites and maybe 2-10 real offerings. The websites I listed on Flippa, I feel really didn’t attract much attention. …and it was over priced, but again when I listed my sites for sale it was about 12 months ago. 😉 Last I heard it was even higher now, with some “success fee” bullshit. read more about dat chit

eBay – has the traffic and the following, brought you lots and lots of potential buyers, also you can list the website for sale in the niche category you are looking to target. Example: Remote Control Cars. I think eBay brings a stronger buyer base to the table than Flippa does, and at a reasonable cost.

*** SCOTTY – FUN FACT***: You can also buy traffic for your listing, or what you could do instead – Make a single sales page with blogger, or even a page on the website that your selling, then set up AdWords account and bid on keywords against Flippa, targeting keywords like; buy websites, website investments, website business, web business. This will allow you to go-directly to the horses mouth for real website buyers not just a bunch of lookie-losers.

*This is also a good way of selling your website, with less chance of your site being copied by a fake-buyer.

I had my best results selling website – When I self-marketed the website, I was WAYYYY more effective. Or you can look at it this way… The few hundred bucks that you would pay for the “success fee” for selling your website on Flippa, can be used to get more targeted clicks from AdWords, and you might even save a few bucks!

RECOMMEND: Craigslist, AdWords.

*This is how I selling my websites now: http://scottrasher.com/domains-for-sale/

These days I really don’t spend time selling websites, I spend more of my time blogging about stupid shit like this. But I found posting websites for sale on blogs or free classifieds like Craigslist and self marketing, was by-far the best way to sell your websites.

Selling websites FAQ:

Most people buying website don’t have any idea what they are buying.

What you need to guard against is being robed for your intellectual property.

How to Make an Award Winning Chili Recipe

Whether you want to enter a chili cook-off, a competitive cooking contest or just create a signature dish, there are several elements to a great chili which can be mastered to create a unique chili recipe. This article is a strategy to create a world class chili recipe that you will be proud to call your own.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Instructions

things you’ll need:

Whole dried chilies and spices
A spice grinder
Tasters
and lots of Patience

1 The foundation of any great chili recipe is a custom chili powder. You won’t win any awards with a store bought chili powder. Take a trip to the grocery store and look for the whole dried chilies. They are usually by the produce section, the spice aisle or the Hispanic food section. Dried chilies typically are hanging in bags and there are several varieties available. I choose three types of dried chili; New Mexican Entero, Pasillas and Chili de Arbol. Where you find the dried chili pods, you will find Mexican oregano and whole cumin seed. While you’re at the store, pick up granulated garlic and smoked paprika.

2 Slice and de-seed three of each variety of dried chili pods. Cut them in small pieces and place in a dry, hot skillet with two tablespoons of whole cumin seeds. Toast the seeds and chili together until they release their fragrance. Heat causes the chili and cumin to release its oil which greatly improves it’s flavor and aromatic properties. Remove from skillet and let cool.

3 Put the chili and whole cumin seed in your spice grinder with a tablespoon of granulated garlic, 1 tablespoon of Mexican oregano, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika and grind to a fine powder. This is an example of a custom chili powder. If you did nothing else, your chili would be better than most.

4 Review several basic chili recipes to find the type of chili you want to create. They vary in types of beans, meat and base. Whatever you choose, replace the chili powder in the recipe with your custom blend. Be sure to write down exactly what you’re using so you can reproduce it.

5 Experiment to find a secret ingredient which distinguishes your chili from the crowd. Perhaps you enjoy the flavor of chipotle chilies or maybe you add molasses to your chili. Some cooks experiment for years to perfect a secret ingredient. Mine has been adding Dijon mustard and Mexican chocolate. Your secret ingredient is a personal preference and a requirement for an award winning recipe.

6 The most important step in creating your famous chili recipe is to have fun while doing it. making a recipe can be hard work and take many different attempts but the reward is the praise of the people asking you for a second helping. There is not much more satisfying than people bragging about your fantastic chili.

Tips & Warnings

Take your chili powder to the next level by buying fresh chilies from Hatch, New Mexico, dehydrating and grinding.

If you like your chili extra hot, include fresh jalapenos and serano chilies to the mix.

Cayenne pepper will add an additional layer of spice and flavor to a bland chili.

Be careful when working with chili peppers. Wear latex, food handling gloves or wash hands immediately after handling.

Do not touch your face if handling chilies without gloves.

How to Make Money Selling eBooks Ethically

The Old School Get Rich Quick Scheme…

The other day, I posted an article about the old scam I called Mail Box Money.  To re-cap, Mail Box Money is an old marketing trick that’s still used today – just in a different form.  The way it worked was, through compelling ad copy – read, tugging your psychological head strings – the desire to be rich, have a mansion, a Ferrari,  have women (or men) begging for your attention, or just not to have to work any more – you would send your ten bucks to the rich guy and he would send you the “blueprint for success,” the how to do what I did manual.  He would go to his mailbox, laugh at the envelopes and mail off the pamphlet describing how to pull off the mail box money scam.  It’s just slightly more ethical than the Ponzi scheme pulled off famously by Bernie Madoff.  Today the mail box money is email box money and here’s how it’s done.

Ever wanted to do your own get rich quick scheme?  Follow along…

The electronic version is accomplished by writing an ebook.  This is pretty simple to do really.  Any word processor and a catchy title – “Affiliate Marketing Mastery” – “Google Ad Destroyer” – “Arm Chair Millions,”  whatever.  With your 50 page ebook containing all the “secrets” of how to make money you then set about making a website that’s called a pitch page.  It’s just a scrolling css page with fake screen shots of hot cars, mansions, fake checks, testimonials, and the familiar pitch – if you’re not making money like I am, you NEED my ebook.  The page has to have the latest technology like pop-up windows that ask do you really want to throw away your life working a boring job – click here to return – video of rich internet marketers and whatever the latest gizmo is.  A good web designer with some tricks in the bag can pull this off for you, no problem.  Better yet, cut him in on the action and he might do it for free.  Then you post your new pitch to the multitude of Affiliate Marketing sites as a publisher.  Let’s say you want to charge $100 for your awesome e-book.  You offer affiliates $75 for every copy they sell.  That sounds high but with a price point like that you’ll have a hundred thousand minions putting up websites, spamming their email networks, clamoring to get traffic to your pitch page, which if good, should convert at least 25% of the leads.   That’s it in a nutshell – an electronic version of the mail box money, get rich quick idea that’s been around as long as there have been people wanting to get rich quick.

It doesn’t have to be a scam…

People will buy quality ebooks to learn how to do anything.  Your ebook doesn’t have to be about the internet or getting rich quick.    It can be about how to build your own greenhouse, how to start a window tinting business, anything really.  Affiliate Marketing sites promote ebooks about any subject if there are people willing to buy them, and there are – it’s just getting an affiliate to promote an ebook is a factor of percentage of conversion and commission paid so be generous, have a great pitch site and voila – an independent sales force selling your idea.  Here are a couple examples of legitimate ebooks and pitch pages for your review:  Dog Training and DIY Solar Power.

Want passive and residual income?

Selling an idea has and will continue to be the single most profitable thing that can be sold.  An idea, after all, is free.  They’re just thoughts floating around, available to anyone who might happen to think it.  But, an idea that is not expressed is still nothing.  Something must be done with an idea for it to be sold.  An ebook is an expression of an idea that can be sold.  Once it’s completed, it can be sold over and over again, creating passive and residual income.

Express your idea…

If you have a great idea – one in which you think people all over the world would like to know – but for whatever reason are having trouble expressing it, all is not lost.  Contact Jeff today about his ghost writing service.  If the idea is good enough, he will professionally complete your ebook  using Adobe InDesign CS3, with your name as the author, create the pitch site and place the ebook on the Affiliate Market for a percentage of the sales.  There’s no reason not to realize your dream of a passive and residual income from your idea.  Pitch the idea now:

Scott R. Asher shares how to become an Idea person

At one time or another, you’ve probably met an “idea person.” Ideas flow freely to them. This article will tell you how to become an idea person.

1 To become an idea person you will need to clear some time from your schedule to contemplate. Find yourself a quiet space that is comfortable. Turn off your phone and ensure that you will not be interrupted. Tell yourself that you would like to experience ideas and that you are an idea person.

2 Ideas come from a place of mental relaxation. You cannot fully experience the power of ideas if you are thinking about any problems that you may have. A good way to begin relaxing is to concentrate your attention on feelings within your body. Imagine yourself in a bath of warm liquid and it flows over you, covering you in warmth and relaxation. Give it a color and feel it going from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.

3 When you are physically and emotionally relaxed, you can start to pay attention to thoughts streaming into your consciousness. At this point you can start to play with thoughts. Don’t try to direct them, but allow them to come and go without any attachment to the particular thoughts. If something comes to you that you like or feel strong about, focus your attention on that thought but let it turn, twist or whatever it wants to do. You’re not trying to control your thoughts, you’re basically treating your mind as a receiver for thoughts that are just floating around in the universe. Have fun with them and don’t take it too seriously.

4 After some play time with your thoughts, you can start creating the direction of thoughts into an idea. Ideas are basically a series of coherent thoughts about a particular subject. It might be how to make something better, how to advertise a product, how to make a product or whatever. It might pop into your head all at once or you might come to it after several different thoughts. The important thing to do is to pay attention to your thoughts and you will get ideas.

5 Ideas by themselves are practically worthless. If I had a nickel for every time I heard someone say about a successful idea, “I had that idea first,” I’d be a rich guy. Wait, I am a rich guy. If you do nothing with ideas, nothing happens so I recommend you take a note pad or computer into your work space to write your ideas down.

6 Learning to relax and play with thoughts is like exercising – you will get better with practice. If you really want to become an idea person, practice creating Instructions

Things you’ll need:

  • A quiet, comfortable work space and relaxation.
  • ideas every day and they will flow to you like a gushing fire hose.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add relaxation and stress relief to your life and ideas will come.
  • Don’t panic if they don’t come right away. Panic, anxiety, worry and stress are idea killers.

Scott shares his Shark Tank presentation.

yummy

After recently catching an episode of the TV show The Shark Tank. I thought it would be fun to give my Shark Tank Presentation to get investors for my idea! Why not right? I have no idea if my business venture is any good, but like the others coming on the show to pitch their business idea to the investors, I thought why not pitch mine?? I have been working hard and have been very passionate in pursuing my idea for about 18 months, and have had some impressive results. I am not a dotcom millionaire, at least not yet! But it beats flipping burgers.

What is even more interesting about my business idea versus anyone else’s. I believe my idea to be so good and easily accessible, that no matter what your budget is, you can take my idea and earn money on your own.

My name is Scott R. Asher, I am an entrepreneur. I had started this blog to share my twisted and silly ideas with anyone willing to read. I have been unable to return to regular employment after being laid off from my job about three years ago. Making this website and taking part-time freelance positions from anyone willing to pay, is basically what I have been doing to pay my bills for the last 3 years.

  • My Domain cost $10.00 year
  • My hosting cost $60.00 a year
  • My WordPress CMS is is 100% free.

SO THAT BEING SAID! If you just-so-happen to have $70.00 laying around, and are looking for ways to make money, this might interest you.

Marketing ideas for – restaurants, bakeries, delis

Restaurants, bakeries, delis are feeling these tough economic times. If you’re in the business and feeling it, check out the marketing idea I have that will save you.

Have you noticed? People are starting to eat-out more, and signs of a good value are all around us. Eating out is cheap and getting cheaper. For one, Dominos Pizza has come out with the tremendous value of a $5.99 two topping pizza. That value is practically unmatched in the industry, and not to mention their SUPERB quality. They have started pushing much of their advertising towards social media. They catch you when you’re on Facebook, when you’ve got on your profile that pizza is one of your interests. You’re chatting with your friends and that Dominos ad shows up and you think, man that’s a good deal. You get your friends to meet you at Dominos. Social media advertising works.

Another chain has a sweet deal too. Chili’s came up with their 2 for $20.00 menu. You get plenty of good-quality food for two. You would be hard-pressed walking out the door for any less these days. I drove past just the other day and the parking lot was packed! Looks like it’s working.

So how can price mavens be beat? You know when the New Year rolls around, it means everyone has a waist-line on full alert! Now’s the perfect time to implement my marketing idea. Offer portion-controlled meals for families of 3, 4 or 5 for a set price. And you’ve got to use social media to get the message across. A parent can order for the whole family, knowing they will get the balanced meal with the right portions and all for a reasonable price. You can even see a hint of this in Dominos Pizza’s marketing campaign that pushes families sharing meals made from all-natural ingredients. Weight loss is hot. And family portioned meals are even hotter.

If you think that’s already been done and you want to try something brand-new, how about partnering with a local gym. Everyone who eats at your restaurant gets a voucher to try out the gym, or discounts on a year-pass. Combine this gym voucher with a calorie-count menu, and you would absolutely grab the attention of those people who have little time but a bit more income to burn.

Now how do Dominos and Chili’s get people in the restaurants for a meal? Easy. When the type of food they serve is in the interests section of someone on Facebook, or when someone searches for food on google, an ad for their restaurant pops up with a deal that can’t be beat. CEOs of restaurants like these have taken interest in social media and online advertisements to get people interested and hungry. They market their deals and healthy ingredients through groupon and other online advertisements. Once one person comes in to their restaurant and sees what a good deal they’re getting, they’re going to tell their friends, or bring their friends next time they come in. This is the most successful method of advertising of our time. Create an online presence and the people will come. Word of your great restaurant will spread from person to person until it’s reached viral status.

By helping customers fight against their growing waist lines, you could improve your own bottom line in 2011. You know, many companies are getting more profit with less product. Coca-Cola and other soft drink companies have been resizing bottles and pulling off the seemingly impossible: giving the consumer less and getting them to pay more for it! You’ve seen the drinks section in gas stations where the smaller bottles cost only 10 cents less than the big bottles. When it comes to meals, smaller portions usually mean fewer calories. For you smaller portions, pre-portioned family meals, healthy ingredients, and the incentive to exercise will leave you with bigger profit, and a healthy bottom line.

Strategies to optimize your blog

There are many things you can do to help your website rank within the search engines for specific keyword phrases.

Organic traffic from the major search engines including www.Google.com and www.Yahoo.com consist of highly targeted prospects, as they enter your blog based on keyword searches. Consider the quality of visitors visiting your blog after entering in specific keywords relating to your overall niche or focus. These visitors are likely to spend more time on your blog, as well as return to your blog frequently if your content is relevant to what they are searching for. Better yet, organic traffic is far more likely to convert into RSS subscribers, and if your ads are positioned so that they are heavily focused on your primary niche, you will increase your overall profit potential from quality traffic funneled to you from manual “type in” searches. Thankfully, optimizing your blog so that it is able to appear within the search engines for specific keywords and phrases isn’t all that difficult to do. To begin, log into your WordPress admin panel and click on the Settings tab. Under General Settings make sure that you create a relevant title for your blog. You should consider incorporating your primary keywords or phrase within your blog’s overall title, and that you separate keywords using commas. (Example: Parenting Tips, Techniques and Advice)

Avoid entering in your domain name as your website title, and instead, utilize this space in the best possible way by focusing on optimizing your search engine’s positioning for key phrases that apply to your overall market and target audience. Whenever you create a new post or article for your blog, you will want to implement relevant keywords within each title as well as within the actual content itself. The more you target each article and post, the better your chances at ranking for specific keyword phrases. You will want to make a few more adjustments within your WordPress administration settings. Under the “Membership” option click both fields, “Anyone Can Register” and “User Must Be Registered and logged In to Comment”. Then, click Save Changes. Next, click on the Writing tab to configure this area. Within the Writing section, you will want to add a list of blog ping services.

Pinging your blog is a very important part of search engine optimization and notifies blog directories and online databases that your website has recently been updated. You can choose to set your blog on auto-ping using free plugins and modules that will instantly notify third party websites and directories you’re your website contains fresh content. You can find a list of pinging services at: http://www.dailyblogtips.com/ping-list/

Another element of your blog worth considering is the meta tags that are assigned to your website. Meta tags describe your website and include additional keywords and phrases relating to your overall content and niche. One easy method of assigning meta tags and keywords to every post and article on your website is by installing the “All in One SEO plugin”, available from: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/all-in-one-seopack.zip

Here is how to quickly set up the All In One plugin so that it works effectively: From within your WordPress admin panel, click on “Settings” and click on the “All In One Plugin” from within the list. Now you will be able to assign a “home title”, which is essentially a title for your entire website.

Note: If you set a blog title within the All in One

Plugin settings field, it will override the blog title that you have set in your default WordPress settings. Next, you will be asked to enter in a “home” description, which essentially is a description of your blog and can include a general title or more information regarding the overall topic of your website.

Finally, you will be required to enter in relevant keywords relating to your website. You will want to separate these by a comma, spacing them correctly:  When it comes to search engine traffic, you need to ensure that these directories can easily find your blog and that whenever a potential visitor actively enters in specific keywords related to your blogs topic, that your website is pulled and processed within the results page. To do this, WordPress blogs make it exceptionally easy by allowing you to plug in ‘tags’ each time you write a post. With a free plugin, you are able to specify relevant keywords relating to your content that will help your blogs pages appear whenever someone using a search engine like www.Google.com enters in similar keyword phrases.

Products to promote in your niche market

Once we have determined what desperate markets we are going to focus on, verified the market size, the third and final step in choosing our niche market is in identifying the number of products (as well as the types of products and services) available for that niche.

We are going to incorporate a series of affiliate campaigns and promotions within both our article content, external marketing campaigns as well as our actual blog’s layout. This means that you want to choose a market that offers an extensive number of high quality products that are likely to convert. When it comes to choosing products, there’s no specific formula or surefire strategy to consistently choosing winners, however there are a few things worth considering with every product or service you evaluate:

1: Quality of the Product

2: Saturation | Distribution of the Product

3: Commissions offered for selling the product

While it should be obvious, you always want to focus on promoting only top quality products. After all, you are attaching your name, reputation and overall brand to every campaign you create, and if you direct your visitors and subscribers to a product that is of poor quality, chances are they are not going to trust your future recommendations.

ClickBank is organized by main categories as well as sub categories that will help you chisel down into a niche to pull out potential affiliate products to promote. Just spend some time creating a swipe file of potential products that you can inject into your website, and create your affiliate links so that you can refer to them once we begin monetizing your blog. You will notice that with Clickbank, each product listing features specific information regarding its current stats.

This is what they mean:

$/sale: The amount of money you earn for every sale.

Future $: Average rebill revenue.

Total $/sale: Average total $ per sale, including all the rebills.

%/sale: The percentage of the product sale price that the sale represents.

%/refd: Fraction of publisher’s total sales that are referred by affiliates.

grav: The measure of how many affiliates are promoting the product.

For each affiliate paid in the last 8 weeks Clickbank adds an amount between 0.1 and 1.0 to the total. The more recent the last referral, the higher the value added.

The Gravity indicator will tell you how well a product is selling. So a gravity score of 100 means a product is potentially selling better than one with a gravity score of 20.

When it comes to choosing affiliate products to promote on my blog, I always stick with payouts ranging from $20 or higher per sale. It’s also wise to focus on combining single-sale products with a handful of recurring products, where you will be able to build up a monthly portfolio of recurring payments from membership and continuity websites.

You can use ClickBank’s built in search functionality to weed through existing subscription based products and service plans to identify the different options available to you based on your chosen niche. If you are interested in further evaluating specific products found within the Clickbank marketplace, I recommend visiting http://www.CBEngine.com or http://www.CBTrends.com where you can use their collection of information and data to properly assess a products potential.

For every niche market that you are going to promote, you will need to follow a simple process including:

1. Register domain names that represent each niche market and incorporate relevant keywords into both the domain and your blog’s title and article content.

2. Set up a new blog for every niche market you are planning on targeting and incorporate an autoresponder into your blog using www.CodeBanter.com (free plugin) so that you can begin building a targeted list of subscribers (for follow up campaigns and promotions).

3. Focus on building a list of targeted prospects via your RSS feed for EACH niche market that you are promoting.

4. Fill each blog with relevant content that incorporates your primary keyword phrases (within the content itself as well as each posts title)

5. Promote the website using free traffic generation strategies including social marketing sites, article marketing, blog-related communities and through search engine optimization.

6. Consistently monetize your blog with alternative promotions, including Adsense, CPA offers, paid sponsors and advertisers as well as through your affiliate based promotions and broadcasts to your newsletter/subscriber base.

7. Rinse and repeat the process.

Creating content for your blog

Without content, you have no way to attract traffic, no way to get users to return to your website, and no possible way to build brand awareness and develop credibility as an authority in your chosen niche. Content is king and when it comes to building a profitable blog, content is the most important element of your entire campaign. When it comes to building content that will entice visitors to return to your site and essentially become “sticky”, you want a solid balance between offering high quality, relevant content and material that incorporates your primary keywords phrases.

You are writing for PEOPLE first and search engines second, so keep that in mind when outsourcing or writing your blog’s material. To begin, in order to create content that will help optimize your website’s ranking within the search engines, you need to conduct keyword research. We will cover a quick start process to developing keyword swipe files in the next chapter, for now; let’s take a quick look at why keywords are so important in the development of your blog.

Let’s say you have a blog about golf, and you found the keyword phrase “golf ball comparisons” You might want to create a blog post-titled “Golf Ball Comparisons – The Top 10 Golf Balls Reviewed”. Then you would simply write an article based on that topic encompassing relevant keywords. For example, you might find the following phrases: Golf ball comparisons, Golf balls compared, Golf ball reviews. These are all similar phrases, and you can choose to do one of two things. You can either choose to create a different article for each phrase, or you can create a single article and include all of the phrases in the text of the article and the tags for the post. I would write a separate article for each phrase, but I would space them out a few days apart so that they don’t appear to be repetitive. This allows you to target both keyword phrases while keeping your blog updated with fresh content.

When creating my blogs, I focus on adding in 10-15 posts to start, adding in 2-3 posts / articles per week on a regular basis. These articles and posts are usually based on the keyword phrases that have the best balance between traffic and competition. Once I have at least 10 posts published, I will add in some posts that will be posted automatically at regular intervals. If I have a very large list of keywords, I will add about 52 posts and set them to update weekly for one year. If I found fewer keywords, I will update monthly, and I only need to create 12 posts. Ideally you want to update at least once per month. Weekly is better, the more often you update the more traffic you are likely to get. The search engines also prefer sites with fresh content. They tend to rank pages on sites that update often higher than pages on sites that are rarely updated and their spiders (otherwise referred to as “crawlers” will visit your site far more frequently if it’s regularly updated).

Choosing your niche market

When it comes to building profitable online websites and blogs, you need to first evaluate potential niche markets. You need to have a strict focus on your overall subject matter and content so that you can effectively target a specific audience. Generic, all -encompassing blogs are not only harder to market, but far more difficult to maintain. Choosing a niche market is exceptionally easy, and it all begins by evaluating existing competition, traffic, potential advertising channels, products and services that you can advertise and general demand. Gauging the amount of potential traffic will help you determine whether a niche is a viable option or not. You want to focus on evergreen markets that will be in demand for many years to come, rather than short term markets that are based on fads or time limited trends. When evaluating traffic potential, you want to determine whether you will be able to generate targeted traffic to your website, as well as the overall costs involved based on existing competition within the market. Consider markets such as weight loss, self help, relationships, or online business niches including work at home, job hunting, start up businesses or online marketing. One of the easiest ways of choosing a niche market is to investigate the number of affiliate products that are available online. Since you will be using these affiliate campaigns to monetize your blog, evaluating the number of products available for purchase will help determine whether a potential niche is sustainable or not. Why? Because the more products available in the open market, the more likely that the niche market is a viable one. These merchants have already done the market research for you!

The easiest way to get started in selectively identifying potential niche markets is to create a product swipe file of affiliate programs that you can join later on, and incorporate into your blog. We do this by browsing through the Internet’s largest digital product marketplace, www.ClickBank.com

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Desperate (hungry) Buyers
  • Overall market size
  • Available Products To promote

When it comes to building highly profitable blogs, one market that always produces results is the desperate buyers market. Desperate buyers are looking for an immediate solution to a nagging problem, the kind of problem that keeps them up at night desperate and struggling to find a way to resolve their dilemma. These groups of buyers are far easier to target because they are easy to identify and cater to since you already know what problem they are looking to resolve.

Market Size

Once we begin looking at desperate buyer markets, we need to determine the actual market size, to determine overall profitability. We want to focus on markets that are consistently growing. When combining market size with the desperate buyers community, it’s important to consider that it’s always best to focus on a market with «continued problems» rather than a market who can solve their problem with a single product or service. This is because an important aspect to profitable blogging is in being able to consistently sell products to repeat visitors and subscribers that are added to our RSS feeds and newsletters. If a single product will solve the entire problem that your target audience is seeking help with, it will be extremely difficult to consistently monetize your website without having to scope out new prospects on a regular basis.

Introduction to blogging

One of the easiest ways to build an online business, regardless of experience or skill is by using the power and simplicity of blog software. With a platform such as WordPress, you could easily create a dynamic website without ever having the traditional start up costs or technical know-how usually involved in online business. Not only is blogging one of the easiest methods of building your website, but it’s also one of the fastest methods of creating an in-depth network of profitable websites, each one focusing on a different niche market. One of the greatest aspects to building an online business using blogs is in just how incredibly automated You can use the internal drip feed functionality to leak out content on specific intervals, or pre-fill your blog will enough content to last for an entire month, or even year, adding in updates only as you find time. You can also make your blog as interactive as you would like it to be just by uploading and “activating” modules and add-on’s that will make your website more dynamic and increase visitor retention. If you are not experienced with web design or don’t have the funds to invest in hiring a seasoned designer, blog platforms solve that problem as well. With over 15,000 blog themes and templates to choose from, you can upload a variety of skins that will transform the way your blog looks. Spending just a few hours of your time customizing an existing theme is a cost effective, easy method of developing an original website that represents your brand’s message.

Looking for a good marketing idea?

This last week I took a road trip to Las Vegas and broke down on the side of the road. The over all experience was unconformable, but somehow I managed to take it in stride and asked myself, in-spite of the adversity how can I some how profit from it. You will never guess what I have in mind! This is the true essence of blogging. I have what I think might be the best idea ever! You are welcome to use it, if you need it.

There is a 100 mile stretch of hwy on the I-7o in Utah that offers no services. Most of Utah on the I-70 has very little to offer in the way of services, but the 100 mile stretch between Green River and Salina is especially difficult and downright boring. After taking this drive for many years, I jokingly dubbed the drive, the 100 mile stare. Basically you sit there for a good 90 mins trying to stay awake, counting mile markers to past the time.

This week either me or my wife crossed the 100 mile stare 3 times in less than 5 days, on our way driving to Las Vegas. With todays advancements in wifi and radio I am surprised something has not been done to provide some-sort of radio station that can be used by drivers or at the very least by local companies to help drivers passing though with local information. It would almost be nothing to provide good quality talk radio show or almost anything. Nowadays, you can tune your radio to almost any format you want, so why not help those traveling to endure the 100 mile drive. If it where me, I would broadcast Phil Hendrie, it is imposable to fall asleep to him! The marketing opportunities are really endless. Lil plug for phil! 🙂 And by the way it is good to have Phil back! love ya the show!!! This has really got to be a cash-cow, where else can you get the un-deveide attion of someone for 90 mins! This might be something for the infomercial people to look at.

*Just a fun fact: There seems to many new added signs discouraging driving if you are sleepy so I am sure it is a problem that would save life’s. The price tag for something like this can’t be more than a 100k

The other thing I seen while traveling was the new posted speed limits to 80. I really wrote this without having any idea of the numbers that travel this highway yearly, the revenue generated just from breakdowns must be staggering. But this idea was 100% free, but the next one is going to cost ya!!!
