The big time game changer in blogging!

I guess you could say I’m tooting my own horn here but I’ve stumbled upon something really big here, which in my opinion, will change the way bloggers set up their blogs.  What I noticed about my own blog was this — I had many different interests and topics that I like to blog about and my posts often became buried so readers couldn’t find the content relevant to their interests.  They might sift through my sports handicapping posts to get to my Topsy-Turvy tomato pictures or they might just leave.

Other bloggers have solved this problem by creating multiple blogs.  They have a blog for their pro blogging tips, a blog for their photography, a blog for their rants, whatever.  And when you think about this, most people will go out and buy separate domain names for these blogs, install WordPress and go.  In fact, I had done this many times over and the development of the India Project/ is based on the premise of 100 different domain names to create a network.  But I’ll tell you, when you get to around 54 of 100, you start to feel the pinch in domain name purchases and remember, they have to be renewed next year.

Back to – I didn’t really want to purchase any more domains but I was tired of my content being all mixed up and THE IDEA occurred to me after having developing a website for a client using WordPress MU – of course, that client was creating a blog for multiple users–the obvious intention of that software.  WordPress MU is a platform that allows someone to create their own Facebook type of site, a social network of blogs, as registered members can log in and create their own blog.  So what I finally did was install WordPress MU on and create 40 subdomains and unique blogs under my main blog.  Now all of my interests and topics are a unique blog with keyword in the domain.  I just took the power of WordPress MU and turned it into a single user situation, creating my very own 40 blog network with just one domain purchase and all controlled by one dashboard.  Combine all this with the WP robot and let’s just say those fools ain’t got no chance.  I’m gonna be rich bitches!

***(MU standing for multi-user). *MU is a side development to the WordPress development and it is still blogs, just a CMS that will manage an infinite amount of blogs under sub-domains.

***Now a person that create 100 or more even blog network with the purchase of only one domain. (12.00) And making targeted sub-domains, a very lethal combination in my mind.

How to Start an Event Photography Business for $5.00

A friend of mine has been playing around with photography for several years, strictly amateur but he lost his job and was struggling for ways to pay the bills – not unlike millions of Americans in today’s economy.  Since he had decent equipment, a digital SLR with a couple of good lenses and plenty of practice, he decided to start an event photography business.  Here’s how to do it:

1.  Sign up for a free photo hosting site that sells prints and photo products, even digital downloads.  For example smug mug, zenfolio or backprint.

2.  Print 1000 business cards on stock paper at the copy store with your name, phone number and web url that they can look at their photos and buy them.  This costs $5 or less at your corner copy store, practically free if you do it with your home printer.

3.  Attend events and snap people’s photographs, hand them the card with the website address and be friendly.

4.  Advertise “free event photography” on craigslist explaining that you will show up and shoot the event for free, they only buy photos that they want.  It’s a win-win as most photographers charge a fee to show up and shoot an event.  For instance, Brightroom, a leading national event photography service pays photographers $30 an hour.  While you’re at it, you should probably sign up to work for them as an event photographer.

5.  Offer to take pictures of kids sports teams, birthday parties, wedding receptions, charitable events, parades, and you can ask establishments if it is ok to take pictures there ie, restaurants on Valentines day, night clubs, karoke bars, etc.  You can take pictures of people anywhere, just be sure that they know they’re getting their picture taken (and want it taken) and give them your card.

My friend told me that it was helpful for him to go out shooting with his wife to greet people, give them the card and she would take their email address so when the photos were uploaded, they’d get a personal email to go check out their photograph.  He also said that just being out in the public, he’d get asked to do other events and more prints were sold from events he was invited to.

There you have it, another make money anywhere idea courtesy of Scott R. Asher.  Enjoy!

DIY American Pickers Guide – Part II

For those interested in making money by finding and selling antiques and collectibles, I set out a basic premier in my article Do It Yourself American Pickers Guide.  This article will go into some advanced “picking” techniques.  Frankly, what I’m about to share with you makes those two American Picker guys look like a couple of amateurs.  I mean, they sometimes seem more interested in their tv show than picking cheap items for resale.  So you want to make some money, get your work gloves out because this is not a sit around type of job–it’s down and dirty.

1.  You need some starting cash.  Do whatever you have to do to put a thousand bucks, cash in your pocket.  Can you do it with less?  Yes but you’ll be sorry, I promise you.  Trust me on this, the biggest bankroll wins in this game.

2.  Find a storage auction.  Rather than drive around the country side, trying to swindle old people out of their dusty possessions, go somewhere that there are mountains of possessions up for auction.  In storage unit facilities around the country, people are defaulting on their rent.  After a few months of non-payment, there’s an announcement of a storage lien sale in the newspaper.  The storage facility throws open the door, you get a look inside and the bidding begins.  Now let me tell you, there are many pitfalls in this game and you won’t always find a perfect storage unit – and the secret’s been out on this for awhile so expect a bunch of people there as well–with cash in their pocket.  But you can get mountains of great merchandise to resell from storage unit auctions.  I have personally found treasures and profited from this money making process.

3.  The thing the American Picker guys don’t really explain is how hard it can be to sell this shit.  The program shows “tin can picked – $5, valued $20, profit $15 or whatever.  The really difficult and time consuming part of picking for profit is selling the merchandise.  I don’t care whether it’s antiques, collectibles or toasters, you have to have a market for re-selling or you just end up with a garage full of stuff and cursing my name.  Get ready for this, your best tool for selling this stuff is a garage sale.  a) you should have gotten a bunch of stuff really cheap b) everyone is allowed to have a couple garage sales a year and c) you don’t need a license or pay taxes on it or any of that.  Garage sale + Storage Auction = Pure Profit!

4.  Get some education on what things are worth.  Get some price guides, learn to check closed auctions on eBay–you have to become a worthologist.  Yeah, I made that up but whatever, you get what I’m saying.  You don’t want to be the jackass that sells a painting by a famous artist for five bucks at a garage sale that sells at Christies for 100k, do you?  If you’re going to do any kind of picking, you’ve got to learn how various markets value things.  I could go on and on about this important topic.

This is not an exhaustive article on how to make money in picking but some advanced techniques.  I explained this concept to a friend and he and his wife really ran with it, buying up Las Vegas storage auctions at a frantic pace, becoming powersellers on ebay and having the cops come to shut down their running garage sale.  He wrote a book about it, From Garage Sale to Financial Freedom in Five Steps which I highly recommend you get and when you see the reference to Morpheus, that’s me!.

1,000 Ways to Make Money

The New Corporation Game

I’ve been talking about the benefits of owning a corporation for some time.  I’ve described you you can open a corporate checking account to avoid a personal Chex System problem, how you can “own nothing and control everything.”

For a good long while, there were primarily two states that received the lion’s share of new corporation filings –Delaware and Nevada.  And for good reason, they both had a long history of favorable laws protecting shareholders, officers and it was nearly impossible to pierce the corporate veil.  And they were relatively inexpensive.

After recently forming a new Nevada corporation, and getting hit by the extra business tax the State of Nevada drops on you, I wondered if there is a cheaper alternative.  See Nevada was at one time, the cheapest game in town.  You could make money with a Nevada corporation by doing nothing more than waiting 6 months to sell the empty shell.

The new game in town is still in the Wild West.  Wyoming corporations are the new Nevada corporations.  Cheap to form, cheap to maintain and of course, anyone with an internet connection and just a little patience can do it themselves.  It’s not rocket science.

Just think, you too could enjoy the secret that corporations have been exploiting over the public for so long.  With a corporation, you can appear to earn nothing!  I think I’ll go out and start another one, just to hold my intellectual property that I can lease to my other corporation.  Or maybe a loan!  The possibilities are endless when it comes to corporate debt and debt repayment is not income.  There’s income somewhere down the line but hey, it’s a company- it has expenses, it has debt, it can likely be bankrupt and did I mention that a corporate bankruptcy doesn’t mess with your personal credit??  Think on that.

Free Craigslist marketing ebook

At one time, my buddy Jeff and I set out to make a ebook on how to profit from Craigslist, to sell on the web. (To be honest I wrangled my “best buddy” Jeff into doing this project with me, because he is a god-damn uber-genius.)  We worked on the ebook for like three days passing it back-and-forth via email, if you sell on Craigslist, I think you will find it interesting. Then the website was live for a few months, but we never sold one copy. Not because the eBook was bad, but it was not the direction we wanted to take, so it fell off our radar.  The other night I came across the ebook and I wanted to share it with the people that visit my website! I think the ebook we wrote will help anyone looking to make more money on Craigslist. Please enjoy

Sucess the Rockefeller way

I want to own nothing, but control everything. —John D. Rockefeller

What does Rockefeller mean when he says to “own nothing”? Rockefeller was one of the richest human beings to ever live on the planet.  How can a wealthy person own nothing? Can success be found in owning nothing? I think so… and I am about to tell you how.

Disclaimer: The information in this posting is for entertainment purposes only.

Take what you think you know about owning things and throw it all away.  Corporations own everything and they are controlled by people.  The people that control the corporation have the power and wealth but no personal liability.  So what Rockefeller was really saying was all of his wealth was in his corporations and he controlled the corporations.

Many people enter into contracts with banks, leases, credit agreement, where their personal liability is at stake.  Why should you do that when you can have your corporation enter into those agreements. What difference does your personal credit matter when your corporation has credit.  A corporation can save you from all kinds of financial trouble. For example, you get a bank account and a deadbeat employer writes you a check that bounces.   In that situation, without a corporation, you could be personally liable for thousands of dollars from no real fault of your own. If the bank account is in the name of your corporation, there’s still the issues but it doesn’t affect your personal credit.  How do you think a bank feels about a corporation receiving a bounced check from another corporation.  It happens all the time and they just reprocess it until it clears.  But when a regular guy does it, they put you in Chex Systems.  Having a corporation can spare you all kinds of frustrations that the average person deals with on a day to day basis.

Have you every tied to complain to a company? Did it really seem like they cared? Some companies have gone a step further and have written terms of service that requires you to come and sue them in the city they do business.

Have you ever dealt with a company and though to yourself I need to get in on this scam! Well maybe you should. It recently occurred to me that many companies try to leverage your personal liability. Have you every tied to complain to a company, did it really seem there was anybody actually listening?

Get a corporation, sell a website or intellectual property or something to the corporation for 300k then take draws from the Corporation so that you don’t get a pay check.  You can deduct many more expenses from your taxes by having the corporation paying for your phone, rent, automobile, health insurance and the miracle is at the end of the year, the accounting shows that you didn’t actually earn anything.  Do you think corporations pay their share of income taxes?  The jokes on us but one thing is for sure, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.  I’m sure Rockefeller would concur.

Do it yourself American Pickers guide.

Looking for a job? Need money like a Mother-&^$(“er? Don’t know where to turn? Have I got a job for you!

Leave it to your Uncle Scotty to show you the way. By the time you are done reading this article you should have all

the information you need to make a very modest salary with very little problem. You can start this afternoon.

Have you ever watched the show the American Pickers? I am about to show you how to become a working amateur picker. Anyone can make money with just the walking around money in their pocket. With this information, you could start your own picking business or just make some quick cash buying used goods and selling them for profit.

It is truly limitless what can be sold on the internet. I currently have the number of a lady in Wyoming that sells tumble weeds to Hollywood for movie sets, and the number of a dude, that owns 3 houses on his block from selling dirty panties, to sick perverts from his website. These are the extremes of something so simple. How to make money from almost anything.

*Not to get off topic, but here is a link to a girl patties vending machine in Japan. I don’t even know how I found this. What is more shocking, is that something like this exist in this world.

The second hand business is all about the mantra, “buy low sell high.” You always buy for the right price, which is less than what someone else is willing to pay. Over paying for any item loses money so you don’t want to do that. The kind of seller you want to buy from is desperate – they need the money and will take a hit for a quick sale. The other type of seller is someone professional in the second hand market and they will over charge you because they’re in it for profit.

Bread and butter items, these are the items you will lean towards when making buys. A bread and butter item is something you are familiar with. You understand the demand for this item and you know what is being paid for these items. Start by finding desperate sellers of your bread and butter items and resell them for profit.

Some of my go to items – little girls pants, steel cars, used doc martens, used Nikes, Golf equipment, Star Wars, Disney, R/C airplanes, jeans, and name brand clothes, large size woman’s clothes! These are things that I know the value of and can always find someone selling under market.

Want to know how to get nice name brand designer closes for nearly free? As a picker, you’ll naturally be going to garage sales. Once in a while you will pull up to a garage sale, and they will be selling all these nice name brand clothes all of them not my size, but she is willing to almost give them away. no-problem-eo, buy them all! That’s right! One time I went to a garage-sale and got about 70 pieces of name brand clothes for 25 bucks, I just stuffed them in the car and took them to Plato Coset, they turned around and gave me 400 bucks credit in the store, that’s right, all for 25 bucks! You can’t tell me that didn’t just get the wheels turning!!!! OMG

Quick hint- buy a PDA and look up items on ebay while you are right on the spot for a pricing guide you can use for buying items.

I happen to have a cool story – my brother, the one that originally got me started on ebay almost 10 years ago now. he would go to the junk yard and fetch parts off of cars that would bring big dollars. I also know people are making great money on ebay selling Mexican jumping beans.

Places to find inventory – Garage Sales, Flee Markets, Craigslist, Storage Auctions. All of these places will bring you mountains of quality second hand merchandise that you can turn and sell.

Where to sell – You should consider having your own garage sale. You can make a very nice profit from a well planned garage sale besides you’re going to need to clear out space to hold your new inventory. One weekend, I took a truck load of merchandise to the swap meet and my wife held a garage sale at our house. We had a $4,000 cash weekend. I turned that cash into the purchase of an entire household at storage unit auction and made over $20,000 on eBay. I’m not kidding when I say you can make serious cash with this gig.

How much money do I need? Well this is really a trick question, because some of my most profitable finds have been with just the pocket change in my pocket. I can’t even count how many times I have turned 5 bucks into a hundred. You can get started for free by driving by garage sales on Sunday afternoon and picking up what they leave by the curb. I’ve picked up truck loads of free merchandise that people simply do not want. This is a disposable society we live in after all. Haven’t you seen furniture, tv’s, computers, and all kinds of stuff left to the curb at trash time. I’m not telling you to dumpster dive – I’m just saying that there’s money to be made in this market with very little start up. Go find some stuff to sell and get your share.

1,000 Ways to Make Money

180 Days to Blogging Success – Million Dollar Blogging

Want to make a million dollars blogging?  Sure, we all do but did you know that it is actually possible?  It is and I’m going to tell you how to do it.  You won’t that million dollars all at once but if you plan ahead and commit to a sound strategy like I’m going to describe here, your blog could make you that million dollars over its long and productive life.  Remember, the benefits of websites in general, and blogs are websites, is that they work 24-7 while you’re kicking back at the beach or wherever you please.  All you need is a commitment of 180 days, plenty of motivation and some knowledge.  These are the basic skills you must know – Blogging 101.  Get your note pads out and bookmark this page because you’ll want to refer back later, I promise you.

1.  Format – Many blogs skip this step and do not put any thought into their format – the result is that they flounder.  When you’re setting up your blog or if you have an existing blog that is not working, you need to concentrate your format into a niche that concentrates on a few keywords.  Think darts here instead of shot gun.  You’re better aiming with precision than spreading around a bunch of non-related keywords. Lay some groundwork about the theme of the blog and this could be said about starting any type of business.  A blog is a business that just happens to be inexpensive to start, can be run from home, on your own time, but a blog is a business nonetheless.  When you’re starting any business, the first critical idea is to have a mission statement – “I want to sell stuff” isn’t a very clear mission statement.  “I want to sell website design and WordPress customization,” is a lot more concise.  Your blog should be about something and you should make that clear in the title, description and in your about page. Take some time to carefully craft these as they are set the stage for what you’ll later post.  At this stage in the game, you should make a decision about how you plan to earn money with your blog, are you going to sell a service, a product or advertising.  You can choose any format that interests you but it must be something you can create content about consistently which brings us to the next step.

2.  Content – With your format prepared, you should concentrate your efforts on creating 20-80 posts, saturating your content with the keywords that are contained within your niche.  Make it clear to anyone arriving about your site that you are blogging about “x” – whatever that “x” is.  In creating your format, necessarily, several keywords will have come to the surface.  For instance, my blog is about web design.  I’m a web designer – I sell web design service and obviously web design is a keyword my blog targets.  It also targets WordPress, themes, layouts, etc.  Your articles should naturally contain these keywords and give layer and dimension to your content.  If you have a hard time creating content, pay to have it created for you.  Great content will bring readers and readers are what give a blog the ability to succeed.  Google is like the Magic 8 ball but instead of 8 options, it returns millions.  Your keywords give relevance to your pages and if they’re not there, Google doesn’t reward you and you don’t get traffic.  Your content should be unique, contain a personal perspective and you must be willing to put on the show.  Let me say this another way – you must be “willing to embrace the whore within.”  What do I mean by this outrageous statement?  Look, people can get recipes on how to do anything on the internet.  What makes you unique is the crazy and random shit that happens in your life and people are fascinated with this. This is why the reality tv format is so successful and blogs are a similar format. Blast your keywords but tell them how your dog ate your wallet and you had to pull it from his butt with a pair of tongs, for example.  The fastest way to build an audience, affiliates, a community and a following is by giving the details.  Leave out the details and you’re just a boring blog that is like ten million other blogs out there.  Give it personality and you’re on the way to the million bucks.

3.  Monetize – Many blogs monetize by placing random ads on all over the page.  The idea with monetizing a blog is to appeal to the reader’s desire to gain something.  That means your ads, the service or the product must be relevant to what they’re reading and you need to be the authority on the topic.  Why do people buy anything when they’re random web surfing?  They only buy if they believe that they must have what is being sold.  If you just wrote the best article on why someone should use WordPress and have an affiliate ad for WordPress templates next to it, you’ve got a chance.  If you just wrote an article about the latest and greatest WordPress theme and have a pet food ad next to it, you missed your chance.  The ads, services and products you choose to display must be carefully chosen to be related to the theme of your blog.

4.  Why 180 days?  Well, it’s simple – you can remember and keep track of this number.  Consistency is the issue here.  Post relevant, useful and personality filled content for 180 days and you’ve created something that Google can spider and give legitimacy to.  This is the foundation upon which you can build a successful website.  Then you can go out to other blogs, comment bring new readers, advertise on other sites and whatever other advanced strategies you choose to bring new traffic to your blog but you have something – a legitimate site rather than a fish out of water.  This will bring you the blogging success that you are looking for.

Dear Guru Scott

Ok he didn’t email Guru Scott, I made that shit up. He just emailed me and asked my thoughts on this matter. What Greg wants is to receive donations for his golf products that seem like a very easy sell. At least in my mind, but like most people on the web, Greg is very unclear on how to go about doing this. Well Greg you came to the right place! Because when you get done reading this you will be healed of your issue<<<< I am going to hell for this, I am in a very funny mood right now.

Here is the email,

I took a look at your site and portfolio. True, you are great at what you do, but I only want to pay on performance, meaning I am willing to pay you a commission on every $30 donation that is made to the golf promo. Basically the promo works like this. $30 donation gets the golfer 30 sleeves of golf balls, and a hybrid 3 wood driver, so $450 worth of golf stuff! No brainer for golfers. There are 40 million golfers in the US alone, so if I gave you $2.50 per donation, and you could only get 1% of golfers to bite, you would make $1,000,000! Heck, if you were only able to get 10% of 1%, it would be a $100,000 pay day! And this we can keep running until it is pulled of the table by the manufacturer. Think of the possibilities if we can run this for 1 year, and if more and more golfers see it and buy. Could make us millionaires pretty easily, wouldn’t you agree? So, do me a favor and rethink the $100 down. You say you take risks, so do I, and I am risking that you can actually make us money. But, if you are adamant on the $100 down, what is the total cost to do a campaign to make me a millionaire?
Let me know your thoughts.

My email reply:
You have a website for this? this is not that hard to do. I will explain for free if I can post it on my blog?

– Scott

Here is the email reply,

I do not have a web site for this yet. The manufacturer has a web site, but not one that allows a way to pay, yet. We would probably have to make a capture page and then an autoresponder, that drives them to the buying info page, and then a secure page driving the money to the manufacturers bank. We would code the deal to make sure that we got credit for it. Of course, I would have to get approval for all of this, but I am sure the manufacturer will go for it, as they want to brand themselves as quick as possible. I have absolutely no problem with you posting this on your blog as when I read your bio, I see you also like to play golf, and I assume you have similar people who read your blog. What do you think?

Thanks Greg for your email and allowing me to reply to this on my blog.  I just want to say first, wow this seems like a really easy sell! How are you not making money hand over fist? First off, where can I get mine?  I need 30 sleeves of balls, I will go through all those balls in about 3 weeks LOL!Reefer Poker Initial Deposit Bonus 150% - $1420

But the major issue here is that $2.50 is too low. For example – at Refer Poker I get 30% of all their action for every person I bring to refer poker, for life! Just for bringing people to refer poker, and I don’t really have to do anything but collect money. People smoking pot and playing for money, need I say more? It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, so to speak.

Ok, maybe the Refer Poker was a bad example, but it was the best I could do to show how simple it is to make money on the web. But even Motive interactive will give me anywhere from $2.50-$10.00 for everything from people filling out questionnaires, to take love test, taking payday-loans or just playing Deal or no Deal online.

But never-the-less the offer is great, you have half the battle out of the way! The way I would go about this, if I was going to do it is very simple!

I would set up a single page website, literally saying “Want some golf balls and a new driver for 30 bucks?” Explain the offer and add some creditability to it with what ever credentials you got.  Slap a paypal button of the link to where the money can change hands, bingo-bango, your done!

To make some money this is also simple, go out and add about 20 articles about the offer and get about 1000 or so back-links, the total cost with the single page website and the back links might cost you $300.00-$400.00 on the high side, I don’t know if your going to make a million, but I bet you sell a shit load of golf balls and drivers!

Thanks Greg for your email to Scott!
