The benifits of selling your website on Flippa vs. eBay.

Recently – Selling websites on the web has become very problematic. “Just-how-much” is a website worth these days? I personally build websites and then turn-around and sell them to people that want to be in business on the web. This is a very tricky market, to sell your website you need to reach real buyers. I have sold websites on eBay, but I have only listed websites for sale on Flippa, never actually sold any. I will share my experience and what I think are the pros-and-cons of selling websites on eBay versus Flippa and give you some valuable tips for saving money and getting even more money for your website!

I was reading is article I found – I think it was the USA Today, it said any website or domain name in 5 years could be worth 500x times what it’s worth right now.

The number one problem you face when looking to get a good price for your website, is the mound of horse-shit scam websites that promise large returns for no investment. This is what buyers that are looking to buy websites have to wade though when looking to buy. Stupid and ridiculous domains priced for 1 million, affiliate websites scams, all kind of scams.

The other problem – It is difficult to sell a website to just anyone, most people are a little intimated or simply have no idea what they are even looking at. I don’t think either eBay or Flippa really offer the “optimal selling experience” for selling websites. Ideally  you want to list your website where you will attract the most potential buyers. Buyer beware!

Flippa – They boast making something like 10 million in sales, to be honest I found this very hard to believe. I didn’t feel like that many of the listings on Flippa ended in a actual sale of the website. All I seen was a bunch of junk websites and maybe 2-10 real offerings. The websites I listed on Flippa, I feel really didn’t attract much attention. …and it was over priced, but again when I listed my sites for sale it was about 12 months ago. 😉 Last I heard it was even higher now, with some “success fee” bullshit. read more about dat chit

eBay – has the traffic and the following, brought you lots and lots of potential buyers, also you can list the website for sale in the niche category you are looking to target. Example: Remote Control Cars. I think eBay brings a stronger buyer base to the table than Flippa does, and at a reasonable cost.

*** SCOTTY – FUN FACT***: You can also buy traffic for your listing, or what you could do instead – Make a single sales page with blogger, or even a page on the website that your selling, then set up AdWords account and bid on keywords against Flippa, targeting keywords like; buy websites, website investments, website business, web business. This will allow you to go-directly to the horses mouth for real website buyers not just a bunch of lookie-losers.

*This is also a good way of selling your website, with less chance of your site being copied by a fake-buyer.

I had my best results selling website – When I self-marketed the website, I was WAYYYY more effective. Or you can look at it this way… The few hundred bucks that you would pay for the “success fee” for selling your website on Flippa, can be used to get more targeted clicks from AdWords, and you might even save a few bucks!

RECOMMEND: Craigslist, AdWords.

*This is how I selling my websites now: http://scottrasher.com/domains-for-sale/

These days I really don’t spend time selling websites, I spend more of my time blogging about stupid shit like this. But I found posting websites for sale on blogs or free classifieds like Craigslist and self marketing, was by-far the best way to sell your websites.

Selling websites FAQ:

Most people buying website don’t have any idea what they are buying.

What you need to guard against is being robed for your intellectual property.

You are not covered under Paypal terms in a transactions a tangible product in not present. Example: files, websites, domains

Fun Facts:

I have sold about 50 websites on eBay and about 100 total.

How to Write a Good Internet Article

How to Write a Good Internet Article

There are many reasons you might want to write a good internet article. You need good web content, you are writing for an employer or you write freelance internet articles. Since content is still King, skills in writing good internet articles are a premium.

First, let’s distinguish between an internet article and a blog post. Let’s create definitions.

A blog post is any combination of image and/or text that is uploaded to a weblog and cataloged by date, category, tag or other fashion. A blog post may be personal, random, from an RSS feed, humorous, boring, nonsensical, blasphemous, heretical or otherwise. A blog post can, but is not always an internet article.

An internet article is typically a well written (although I’ve seen many claiming to be an internet article that was not well written), keyword rich essay on a specific topic, intended to inform and entertain readers seeking information on that topic. The hallmark of a good internet article is a logical structure that leads the reader to accept the conclusion the writer proposed. It should be persuasive.

Like any style of writing, there are forms which can be practiced and with continued use, will lead to better results. During law school, I learned a form of persuasive writing which I have adapted to writing internet articles. Here’s my formula:

1. Issue
What are you writing about? Why should the reader care? This requires a clear and concise statement.

2. Research
What have you discovered about the topic? You need to state what you’ve found and imply or state your qualifications to write about the subject. Nobody cares about your brother’s opinion on whether we landed on the moon in 1969. Why does your opinion matter to the reader?

3. Analysis
Here you begin to take the logical steps that will lead the reader to your proposed conclusion. You began with the conclusion in mind when you started or you wouldn’t be writing an internet article in the first place. Show the reader why she should believe in your conclusion.

4. Conclusion – you precisely restate the idea that you wanted the reader to accept – usually the title of your article.

You can observe the application of my internet article formula in this very article.

1. The title is a clear and concise statement of the topic – how to write an internet article.
2. I define what an internet article is, why the reader should care and what I know about the topic.
3. I offered the reader a theory – a rationale – a practice that can lead, in my opinion to the conclusion I propose which is how to write a better internet article.
4. The conclusion is following.

Writing in a form such as this maximizes your keyword density without sounding unnaturally repetitive. I’m sure you’ve seen articles where the use of key words seemed ridiculous and you probably concluded it was spam. A good internet article does not leave the greasy after taste associated with spam. Rather a good internet article leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling like perhaps the internet isn’t such a bad place after all. A good internet article reminds you why the internet was invented in the first place – to freely exchange ideas – not just to look at porn and sell hair growth products. Ironically, a good internet article will sell things but that’s not its true purpose. It should simply give the reader the answer to the question they were looking for when they searched for it and hopefully you didn’t bore them away from your website.

Writing a good internet article is easy when you have a good idea and a form to follow. I hope this internet article is of assistance to you in your internet article writing endeavors.

That was the conclusion to the article but you’ll want to see my next free internet article where we dissect the keyword density of this very article. Stay tuned!

As always, our free internet articles are open for you to put on your website. Customize, quote or just copy and paste them but don’t forget to link back. Good luck driving massive traffic to your website.

How to Make an Award Winning Chili Recipe

Whether you want to enter a chili cook-off, a competitive cooking contest or just create a signature dish, there are several elements to a great chili which can be mastered to create a unique chili recipe. This article is a strategy to create a world class chili recipe that you will be proud to call your own.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Instructions

things you’ll need:

Whole dried chilies and spices
A spice grinder
Tasters
and lots of Patience

1 The foundation of any great chili recipe is a custom chili powder. You won’t win any awards with a store bought chili powder. Take a trip to the grocery store and look for the whole dried chilies. They are usually by the produce section, the spice aisle or the Hispanic food section. Dried chilies typically are hanging in bags and there are several varieties available. I choose three types of dried chili; New Mexican Entero, Pasillas and Chili de Arbol. Where you find the dried chili pods, you will find Mexican oregano and whole cumin seed. While you’re at the store, pick up granulated garlic and smoked paprika.

2 Slice and de-seed three of each variety of dried chili pods. Cut them in small pieces and place in a dry, hot skillet with two tablespoons of whole cumin seeds. Toast the seeds and chili together until they release their fragrance. Heat causes the chili and cumin to release its oil which greatly improves it’s flavor and aromatic properties. Remove from skillet and let cool.

3 Put the chili and whole cumin seed in your spice grinder with a tablespoon of granulated garlic, 1 tablespoon of Mexican oregano, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika and grind to a fine powder. This is an example of a custom chili powder. If you did nothing else, your chili would be better than most.

4 Review several basic chili recipes to find the type of chili you want to create. They vary in types of beans, meat and base. Whatever you choose, replace the chili powder in the recipe with your custom blend. Be sure to write down exactly what you’re using so you can reproduce it.

5 Experiment to find a secret ingredient which distinguishes your chili from the crowd. Perhaps you enjoy the flavor of chipotle chilies or maybe you add molasses to your chili. Some cooks experiment for years to perfect a secret ingredient. Mine has been adding Dijon mustard and Mexican chocolate. Your secret ingredient is a personal preference and a requirement for an award winning recipe.

6 The most important step in creating your famous chili recipe is to have fun while doing it. making a recipe can be hard work and take many different attempts but the reward is the praise of the people asking you for a second helping. There is not much more satisfying than people bragging about your fantastic chili.

Tips & Warnings

Take your chili powder to the next level by buying fresh chilies from Hatch, New Mexico, dehydrating and grinding.

If you like your chili extra hot, include fresh jalapenos and serano chilies to the mix.

Cayenne pepper will add an additional layer of spice and flavor to a bland chili.

Be careful when working with chili peppers. Wear latex, food handling gloves or wash hands immediately after handling.

Do not touch your face if handling chilies without gloves.

Implications of Google Real-Time Search

Anyone who’s been trying to keep up with how search engine users find internet content had to be blown away by the announcement of Google’s Real-Time search function.

Today a representative of Google stated, “relevance has become the critical factor.” My question is what was it before? It’s always been relevance that Google used to index the internet, right? Well, relevance and a website’s ranking according to a super top secret formula creating an entire industry attempting to “crack the code” as it were.

Assume for a second that it is even possible for any search engine to be able to spider the entire internet on a real time basis. If that is true then anyone with a blog has the possibility of thousands of views from a speedy post about a current trend. In the past, trending can give even a poorly Google ranked blog a shot at some internet traffic. If you were willing to get up early and hit Google/trends you could often predict something that would peak later in the day and an early morning blog post might show up by the time it peaked. When I wrote for paying article sites, they tended to rank higher and would receive more traffic than my blog posts with the same keywords.

Google Real-Time, according to Google will provide real time information from tweets, blog posts and sources like MySpace and Facebook. I guess I missed something but aren’t tweets usually just spam? Why would anyone searching for “relevant” information want to see what Bobby Joe in Tucson thinks about Tiger Woods affair and bothered to tweet or post on his MySpace page? In order to actually be in “real time” Google must be tapping into various RSS feeds to collect this information. I cannot see how the information could come in real time from spiders. But then again I’m not an engineer – I’m just a speculator. For Google’s real time searching, are there sites favored over others? This I will like to see.

While my mind is still boggled by the full array of implications raised by this search function, I think it could actually benefit bloggers and article writers willing to work fast and hone their trend prediction skills. I guess we’ll see.

How to Make Money Selling eBooks Ethically

The Old School Get Rich Quick Scheme…

The other day, I posted an article about the old scam I called Mail Box Money.  To re-cap, Mail Box Money is an old marketing trick that’s still used today – just in a different form.  The way it worked was, through compelling ad copy – read, tugging your psychological head strings – the desire to be rich, have a mansion, a Ferrari,  have women (or men) begging for your attention, or just not to have to work any more – you would send your ten bucks to the rich guy and he would send you the “blueprint for success,” the how to do what I did manual.  He would go to his mailbox, laugh at the envelopes and mail off the pamphlet describing how to pull off the mail box money scam.  It’s just slightly more ethical than the Ponzi scheme pulled off famously by Bernie Madoff.  Today the mail box money is email box money and here’s how it’s done.

Ever wanted to do your own get rich quick scheme?  Follow along…

The electronic version is accomplished by writing an ebook.  This is pretty simple to do really.  Any word processor and a catchy title – “Affiliate Marketing Mastery” – “Google Ad Destroyer” – “Arm Chair Millions,”  whatever.  With your 50 page ebook containing all the “secrets” of how to make money you then set about making a website that’s called a pitch page.  It’s just a scrolling css page with fake screen shots of hot cars, mansions, fake checks, testimonials, and the familiar pitch – if you’re not making money like I am, you NEED my ebook.  The page has to have the latest technology like pop-up windows that ask do you really want to throw away your life working a boring job – click here to return – video of rich internet marketers and whatever the latest gizmo is.  A good web designer with some tricks in the bag can pull this off for you, no problem.  Better yet, cut him in on the action and he might do it for free.  Then you post your new pitch to the multitude of Affiliate Marketing sites as a publisher.  Let’s say you want to charge $100 for your awesome e-book.  You offer affiliates $75 for every copy they sell.  That sounds high but with a price point like that you’ll have a hundred thousand minions putting up websites, spamming their email networks, clamoring to get traffic to your pitch page, which if good, should convert at least 25% of the leads.   That’s it in a nutshell – an electronic version of the mail box money, get rich quick idea that’s been around as long as there have been people wanting to get rich quick.

It doesn’t have to be a scam…

People will buy quality ebooks to learn how to do anything.  Your ebook doesn’t have to be about the internet or getting rich quick.    It can be about how to build your own greenhouse, how to start a window tinting business, anything really.  Affiliate Marketing sites promote ebooks about any subject if there are people willing to buy them, and there are – it’s just getting an affiliate to promote an ebook is a factor of percentage of conversion and commission paid so be generous, have a great pitch site and voila – an independent sales force selling your idea.  Here are a couple examples of legitimate ebooks and pitch pages for your review:  Dog Training and DIY Solar Power.

Want passive and residual income?

Selling an idea has and will continue to be the single most profitable thing that can be sold.  An idea, after all, is free.  They’re just thoughts floating around, available to anyone who might happen to think it.  But, an idea that is not expressed is still nothing.  Something must be done with an idea for it to be sold.  An ebook is an expression of an idea that can be sold.  Once it’s completed, it can be sold over and over again, creating passive and residual income.

Express your idea…

If you have a great idea – one in which you think people all over the world would like to know – but for whatever reason are having trouble expressing it, all is not lost.  Contact Jeff today about his ghost writing service.  If the idea is good enough, he will professionally complete your ebook  using Adobe InDesign CS3, with your name as the author, create the pitch site and place the ebook on the Affiliate Market for a percentage of the sales.  There’s no reason not to realize your dream of a passive and residual income from your idea.  Pitch the idea now:

How to Get a Venice Beach Vendor’s License

Anyone who has ever tried to find out information on how to get a vendor’s permit for Venice Beach has probably run into the same difficulties that I have. It is very discouraging just trying to get through to the right person who can tell you what you can and can’t sell. After being re-routed about 7 times, I finally reached a very hostile rep for the parks and recreations department for the City of Los Angeles who gave me very vague answers. When I was dissatisfied with his response, I did some further investigation today that helped to uncover the mystery of the vending situation.

First of all, it is called a Permit and not a License. The permit is called a “freedom of expression” permit and is only good for the west side of the boardwalk. It costs $25.00 for the initial fee which is good for a year, and then a $10.00 annual fee for a lifetime. Pretty reasonable, I must admit, but the restrictions on what you can sell is very confusing. I wanted to sell some vintage costume jewelry and was told that that was considered “commercial” and therefore not allowed. If my jewelry had a religious connotation, or had the words “peace, love, spirituality, etc”, or if it was political in nature, those pieces would be allowed. I would need to bring my jewelry with me to the office where I would buy the permit to make sure that it was appropriate and fit into the guidelines of “freedom of expression”. I had been told the day before that if I wanted to take my chances and go ahead and sell the jewelry that was deemed inappropriate, were I to be caught I would be cited with a misdemeanor ticket and would have to appear in court. Now how well manned the boardwalk is, is up for interpretation, but we have already received one ticket and really can’t see why we would want another. In addition to the “permit”, you also need to get a seller’s license at a different location in order to sell on Venice Beach. You can download this slip from the City of Los Angeles website and mail it in, or you can go directly to their office and be issued one on the spot. This is a free license, but a required one.

Once you have paid for your “permit” and received your seller’s license, you then must go to 1800 Ocean Front Walk Venice, Ca. 90291 on Tuesday morning @ 8:30 and drop your “permit” into a drum, where it will be pulled “lottery” style to see if you are able to get a spot on the beach. There are currently 300 applicants for 100 spots, so you have a 1 in 3 chance of actually getting a spot. Call (310) 396-6764 for more information. I hope this information can save someone in the future from the nonsense that I had to go through. Just make sure that whatever “expression” you want to sell fits their idea of “freedom”!

How to Increase Page Views by Trending

This article describes how to make more money on eHow and other paid writing sites by using Google Trends to create timely, SEO articles.

things you’ll need:

A computer with an internet connection

1 If you’re like me, you probably have a notebook full of ideas for “how to” articles you’re just itching to get written to start making money on paid writing sites like eHow, Associated Content and other sites. I have written several articles for these sites and paid particular attention to the page views my articles receive. Articles I have written that happened to correspond with search engine trends have exponentially received more page views than other articles. Open your web browser and check out Google.com/trends to view the top 100 search engine terms.

2 Spend some time checking out the random and often bizarre search terms that are currently popular. For instance today, would be a great day to write an article on “How to lose weight like “How to lose weight like Paige 22 to 0.” Paige Schmelzer is a lady who went from a size 22 to size 0 by diet and exercise and I had never heard of her until today. There is one article by Lynwood Enterprise, USA which comes at the top of a Google search that is getting thousands of page views because there’s really nothing else on the internet addressing the topic.

3 After you review the Google trends, you write your article very quickly and let Google do the rest of the work. eHow has a very high page ranking. Check Alexa.com for current statistics. What that means to you is that your timely article on a trend is likely to rank higher in a Google search than written on your blog or lesser sites. Compare the Alexa ranking of eHow at 468 to Associated Content at 769. In theory, the same article written for eHow should rank higher than if published on Associated Content. It really doesn’t matter though, you’re just trying to get page views by writing current, search engine friendly articles.

4 Write your timely, trending article using the key words as many times as you can get away with that the article still makes sense. In other words, don’t spam the key words. You can use headings to increase the density of your key words without offending your reader. For instance, in the article about Paige 22 to 0 you might have a header that reads, “Who is Paige Schmelzer” and later in your article, “About the Paige 22 to 0 Phenomenon.”

5 As a final example for your consideration. I was trending one morning and saw that the search terms “2009 Calendar” was high on the list. I wrote a quick article, and to the top I went!

Instructions

Things you’ll need:

A computer with an internet connection

eHow article about making a 2009 calendar with your own photos. The article took me about ten minutes to publish and it has had three to four times the page views of any other article I wrote that month.

Tips & Warnings:

To effectively use google.com/trends, start early in the morning and work fast, the quicker you get your articles up, the more page views you will receive If you pick trends that reoccur you’ll already be poised for the traffic spike you’ll receive next year

Sign the confidentiality agreement to bid on this listing at Flippa

I was recently was looking at a websites at Flippa, and I was prompted to “sign the confidentiality agreement to bid on this listing” before I could even view the website for sale. What a fucking joke this is! Nothing like this would ever hold up in court, it is so silly. People have  fake usernames, something like this would be so difficult to enforce, it just wouldn’t be worth the time or the money.

How to Settle a Simple Auto Accident Claim Without A Lawyer

You’ve been in a car accident that wasn’t your fault and you have minor injuries. This article will tell you how to settle your claim without a lawyer.

Things you’ll need:

  • A Police Report
  • Medical Bills
  • Basic Phone Skills

1 This article is based on my personal experience. I was rear-ended by another driver and he was cited at fault in the accident. I experienced back and neck pains as a result of the accident. This is a fairly common automobile accident. The police officer investigating the accident will provide you with a summary of the ticket which states if he found anyone at fault. Keep this document – it is the ticket to the settlement of your personal injury claim.

2 Contact a personal injury clinic, typically a chiropractor’ s office and ask them if they will provide you treatment on a lien basis. This means that they agree to wait until the insurance company pays the claim. Start treatment immediately. Insurance companies are skeptical if a person seeks treatment after they speak to a lawyer or it is more than a few days after the accident.

3 Check your own automobile insurance policy to see if your policy provides “Med Pay”. Med pay is short for medical payments and is typically paid directly to the provider or to the insured if they come out of pocket for medical treatment. Your chiropractor can use the med pay provision of your car insurance. This will make you money because the insurance company of the at fault driver will pay your claim and you will not have to reimburse the chiropractor for cost of treatment.

4 The insurance company for the driver that hit you will call you within a few days of the accident. Tell them that you are receiving medical treatment and let them know how long it is expected to take. Refuse to give a recorded statement unless you feel very confident that you can accurately recount what happened. You are not required to provide anyone with a recorded statement and they are frequently used later when the insurance company wants to legally fight a claim. Just politely decline – if pressed say, I’m considering hiring a lawyer.

5 Complete your medical treatment. Go to each and every scheduled treatment. Do not skip any appointment. Get a certified completion of treatment. Get a copy of all of your medical records.

6 Total your medical expenses and document any lost income. Write a simple letter to the insurance adjuster of the other driver with copies of your police report, medical records, photographs, and any other evidence you have supporting a settlement. Multiply your actual damages by three for your final demand. They will respond with their offer and you can accept it if you feel it is good.

You’ve been in a car accident that wasn’t your fault and you have minor injuries. This article will tell you how to settle your claim without a lawyer.

Tips & Warnings

If you used med pay from your own insurance, you get to keep the entire settlement.

Most lawyers will take a contingent fee of 33% of your settlement. If you followed the tips in this how to, you’ll come out better off without an attorney. If you receive medical treatment on a lien basis, you have to repay the medical provider from your settlement. If the insurance company refuses to settle with you, your only real option then is to file a lawsuit so it is better to be nice with the insurance adjuster. They’re just doing their job, after all.

How to Automate Your Online Job Search

With 16 million jobless in the United States, many are turning to internet sites for job searching. This article will describe how to minimize the amount of time spent on internet job sites. Automated online job searching is easy with the right tools.

1 There are many internet sites where employers post job openings online. Find the sites that you will be searching daily. For this article, I’ll be demonstrating how to automate searching for a job on craigslist.org. Open your browser and go to craigslist for the city you are searching for work. Click the arrow under the search bar and select “jobs”. Type the job you’re looking for. In this case I typed, “Human Resource Director.” Click the arrow next to the search to enter and you’re taken to all of the jobs with your search terms.

2 Open a new browser tab and enter Google Reader in the address bar. Click on the official site of Google Reader. If you don’t have a Google account, create one and download the Google Reader. Among other things, Google Reader allows you to easily add subscriptions to RSS feeds. Leave the tab open, you’re going back to craigslist.

3 Click on your browser’s craigslist tab and go all the way to the bottom to the orange RSS icon. Put your cursor over it and right click, select “copy link address” and enter. You have just copied the RSS feed url for your craigslist search.

Things you’ll need:

  • A computer with broadband connection
  • An RSS feed reader

Tips & Warnings:

  • You can automate anything you search manually for by adding the RSS feed url of the page into an RSS feed reader.

Scott R. Asher shares how to become an Idea person

At one time or another, you’ve probably met an “idea person.” Ideas flow freely to them. This article will tell you how to become an idea person.

1 To become an idea person you will need to clear some time from your schedule to contemplate. Find yourself a quiet space that is comfortable. Turn off your phone and ensure that you will not be interrupted. Tell yourself that you would like to experience ideas and that you are an idea person.

2 Ideas come from a place of mental relaxation. You cannot fully experience the power of ideas if you are thinking about any problems that you may have. A good way to begin relaxing is to concentrate your attention on feelings within your body. Imagine yourself in a bath of warm liquid and it flows over you, covering you in warmth and relaxation. Give it a color and feel it going from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.

3 When you are physically and emotionally relaxed, you can start to pay attention to thoughts streaming into your consciousness. At this point you can start to play with thoughts. Don’t try to direct them, but allow them to come and go without any attachment to the particular thoughts. If something comes to you that you like or feel strong about, focus your attention on that thought but let it turn, twist or whatever it wants to do. You’re not trying to control your thoughts, you’re basically treating your mind as a receiver for thoughts that are just floating around in the universe. Have fun with them and don’t take it too seriously.

4 After some play time with your thoughts, you can start creating the direction of thoughts into an idea. Ideas are basically a series of coherent thoughts about a particular subject. It might be how to make something better, how to advertise a product, how to make a product or whatever. It might pop into your head all at once or you might come to it after several different thoughts. The important thing to do is to pay attention to your thoughts and you will get ideas.

5 Ideas by themselves are practically worthless. If I had a nickel for every time I heard someone say about a successful idea, “I had that idea first,” I’d be a rich guy. Wait, I am a rich guy. If you do nothing with ideas, nothing happens so I recommend you take a note pad or computer into your work space to write your ideas down.

6 Learning to relax and play with thoughts is like exercising – you will get better with practice. If you really want to become an idea person, practice creating Instructions

Things you’ll need:

  • A quiet, comfortable work space and relaxation.
  • ideas every day and they will flow to you like a gushing fire hose.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add relaxation and stress relief to your life and ideas will come.
  • Don’t panic if they don’t come right away. Panic, anxiety, worry and stress are idea killers.

Scott shares his Shark Tank presentation.

yummy

After recently catching an episode of the TV show The Shark Tank. I thought it would be fun to give my Shark Tank Presentation to get investors for my idea! Why not right? I have no idea if my business venture is any good, but like the others coming on the show to pitch their business idea to the investors, I thought why not pitch mine?? I have been working hard and have been very passionate in pursuing my idea for about 18 months, and have had some impressive results. I am not a dotcom millionaire, at least not yet! But it beats flipping burgers.

What is even more interesting about my business idea versus anyone else’s. I believe my idea to be so good and easily accessible, that no matter what your budget is, you can take my idea and earn money on your own.

My name is Scott R. Asher, I am an entrepreneur. I had started this blog to share my twisted and silly ideas with anyone willing to read. I have been unable to return to regular employment after being laid off from my job about three years ago. Making this website and taking part-time freelance positions from anyone willing to pay, is basically what I have been doing to pay my bills for the last 3 years.

  • My Domain cost $10.00 year
  • My hosting cost $60.00 a year
  • My WordPress CMS is is 100% free.

SO THAT BEING SAID! If you just-so-happen to have $70.00 laying around, and are looking for ways to make money, this might interest you.

Craigslist Denver area rentals

I had to make a post about the amount of scams and spam in the rental section of Craigslist in Denver. …it is just killing me, it is almost crazy! http://denver.craigslist.org/apa/

I have been looking for a home to rent for almost 4 months, and over this time I have reached maybe 4 real people with a legitimate rental to offer. I have been contacted buy rent to own scams, brokers, credit report scams, send the money overseas scammers, it is just nuts!

I am a webmaster myself, and I have to be honest, it is shameful to see how thick the level of spam on this site is. It would be difficult to estimate the amount of scam ads or spam on the Craigslist Denver rental thread alone, but if I had to guess, I would say 90% plus.

What I find even more interesting, it is fucking hilarious that Craigslist has implemented all these “new” anti-spam measures on their site to only block real users. Just a fun fact to all this – I have recently tried to post on craigslist and had to verify my phone number to complete the post, and I was unable to do. As it turns-out, my phone number is being used by someone else, and from what I can tell, there is almost nothing I can do about it.

This has to be a real battle for craigslist, it will be interesting to see what happens.

If you are dealing with the same issue please leave your comment, I would love to hear your pain also.
